Astana, October 7, 2025 – From October 3 to 5, 2025, at the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Spain, a delegation from the Community of Madrid headed by the Regional Minister of Digitalization, Mr. Miguel López-Valverde, took part in the international forum Digital Bridge 2025, held in Astana.

During the visit, meetings were held with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhaslan Madiyev, as well as with the Chairman of the Board of JSC “National Information Technologies” (NITEC), Mr. Dauren Bekmanov. As a result of the discussions, a cooperation agreement in the field of digitalization was signed, aimed at promoting the exchange of experience and the joint implementation of projects in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital governance.

Mr. López-Valverde also took part as a speaker in the panel session “The European Model of AI Development: Balancing Innovation, Regulation, and Sustainability,” where he shared Madrid’s experience in the digitalization of public services and the application of AI technologies in the social sphere.

In addition, the Regional Minister of Digitalization delivered a guest lecture at Astana IT University titled “Digitalization as a Driver of Change in the Regions: Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence,” highlighting Kazakhstan’s high potential as a regional hub for digital innovation and emphasizing the importance of further strengthening technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and Spain.
