From 9 to 10 October 2025, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sarsembayev represented the country at the 144th plenary session of the Venice Commission.

The plenary session of the Venice Commission was also attended by the Chair of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova.

The agenda of the 144th plenary session included discussion of conclusions on draft laws and legal issues in a number of countries, including Hungary, the Slovak Republic, Spain, Armenia, Georgia, North Macedonia and Ukraine.

Conclusions on legal issues raised at previous sessions concerning Albania and the Republic of Moldova were also considered.

During participation in the 144th plenary session of the Venice Commission, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sarsembayev met with Judge of the Constitutional Court of Korea Kim Hyung-doo, where Yerlan Sarsembayev provided information on the digitalisation and introduction of artificial intelligence elements into the information systems of the judiciary currently underway in the country.
