September 30, 2025, Montreal. On the sidelines of the 42^nd Session of the ICAO Assembly, Ms. Saltanat Tompieva, Chairwoman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Mr. Timur Tlegenov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO, held a meeting with the leadership of the delegation of the Republic of Poland and representatives of the Polish airline LOT.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland in the aviation sector, including the expansion of air services between the two countries and improving transport accessibility for passengers.

It was noted that the legal framework between Kazakhstan and Poland serves as a solid foundation for the further development of fruitful bilateral partnership, while the existence of direct flights between Astana and Warsaw contributes to strengthening investment, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two countries.

The Polish side informed about its plans to increase the number of flights and open new destinations within Kazakhstan.

Both sides emphasized their mutual interest in deepening bilateral cooperation in key areas of civil aviation.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
