September 26, 2025, Montreal. On the sidelines of the 42^nd Session of the ICAO Assembly, Chairwoman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ms. Saltanat Tompieva and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO Mr. Timur Tlegenov held a meeting with Executive Vice President for Air Transport and International Cooperation of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia Mr. Ali Mohammed Rajab.

The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation, including flight safety, aviation security, increasing regular flights, personnel training, and other issues.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign an Air Services Agreement and to increase the number of flights between the two countries by the end of this year. Mr. Rajab also invited the Kazakh side to take part in the Future of Aviation Forum to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2026.
