A guest lecture by Botagoz Zhakselekova, Vice Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University. The topic of the meeting — “The Ministry of Justice in the Digital Age” — sparked great interest and lively discussion among future legal professionals.

During the lecture, the Vice Minister spoke about the Ministry’s key areas of focus, placing particular emphasis on digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence into the agency’s business processes.

Special attention was given to issues of intellectual property in the context of rapid technological advancement. Botagoz Zhakselekova introduced students to the new digital platform QazCopyright, designed to ensure transparent copyright management and fair compensation for rights holders.

However, the most valuable part of the event was not just the information shared, but the inspiration it brought. Many students noted that the lecture helped them see the justice system in a new light — as a space for real change, a chance to be involved in the legislative process, and an opportunity to help build the legal state of the future.
