Bratislava, October 16, 2025 – With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Slovak Republic, online negotiations were held between representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, with the participation of executives from several Slovak companies that are part of the “WaterSlovakia” association.

The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of water management, including preparations for signing a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Environment of Slovakia, as well as the possibility of implementing joint projects with financing from European financial institutions.

Following the online meeting, both sides agreed to prepare a requirements map indicating priority areas of cooperation and to organize a visit of Slovak companies to Kazakhstan.
