TURAN DISTRICT – RESULTS OF THE GENERAL CITY CLEAN-UP DAY ON OCTOBER 4, 2025

On October 4, 2025, a citywide cleanup event was held in the Turansky District of Shymkent. The event was aimed at ensuring public health, improving the environment, and creating a comfortable and safe environment for residents. Employees of the district administration, municipal services, social facilities, businesses, and active residents participated in the event. The main goal of the event was to maintain clean streets and public spaces, foster environmental awareness among the population, and improve sanitary safety.
The Turansky District Akim's Office actively participated in the cleanup. A total of 480 employees and 26 pieces of specialized equipment were involved, removing 12 tons of waste from the district. These results demonstrate the high level of organization and responsibility of the office's staff for the results of the event.
Residents of the district also showed their zeal: 4,456 people participated in the cleanup, cleaning streets, sidewalks, courtyards, and public spaces. Three hundred people were involved in the district's cemeteries, ensuring cleanup and landscaping. Their work included collecting trash, clearing green spaces, and tidying up public spaces, followed by waste removal using specialized equipment.
The Department of Physical Culture and Sports dispatched 52 employees and two pieces of equipment to the cleanup day, removing one ton of trash. The work was carried out at sports facilities and playgrounds, ensuring a safe and clean environment for sports and physical activity.
The Health Department deployed 55 staff and two pieces of equipment, removing one ton of waste. This allowed the area around medical facilities to be cleaned, creating safe and clean conditions for staff and patients.
The Public Procurement Department dispatched 48 employees and one piece of equipment, removing one ton of waste. The Digitalization Department deployed 40 employees and one piece of equipment, removing one ton of waste. These activities contributed to the improvement of areas around the district's administrative and digital facilities.
The Department of Mobilization Preparedness, Territorial, and Civil Defense dispatched 35 personnel and two pieces of equipment, removing one ton of waste. This work is aimed at preparing for emergencies and ensuring sanitary cleanliness in public areas.
QazaqGaz Aimaq, a subsidiary of SHF, deployed 40 employees and one piece of equipment, removing one ton of waste. The Turansky District Energy Department deployed 20 employees and two pieces of equipment, removing one ton of waste.
The Turansky District Police Department dispatched 100 officers and three pieces of equipment to the cleanup event, removing one ton of trash. In addition to cleaning up trash, the officers also maintained order and monitored safety in the district.
Social facilities (102 institutions) deployed 4,685 employees and 5 pieces of equipment, removing 6 tons of waste. Small and medium-sized businesses (114 facilities) deployed 890 employees and 4 pieces of equipment, removing 7 tons of waste.
TOTAL for Turansky district:
10,901 people and employees took part in the cleanup day,
49 units of equipment were used for garbage removal,
Only 33 tons of garbage were removed.
The main types of work carried out during the clean-up day:
Pruning dry trees and branches,
Mowing and cleaning grass,
Washing roads and sidewalks,
Cleaning of garbage sites,
Collection of household waste and its removal to specially designated places,
General sanitation works and other activities for improvement of the territory,
Repair and painting of landscaping elements (if necessary).
The work was carried out in teams, each responsible for a specific area. All teams were provided with the necessary cleaning tools and equipment, as well as personal protective equipment to ensure safety during the work.
The cleanup wasn't limited to just garbage collection; it also aimed to raise environmental awareness among residents. Residents were taught the importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal, environmental responsibility, and maintaining public order.
The participation of various agencies, businesses, and district residents in the cleanup event strengthened cooperation between government agencies, businesses, and the public. This joint effort enabled the district to be quickly and efficiently cleaned, which had a positive impact on the sanitary conditions and appearance of public spaces.
The cleanup day also helped foster a sense of responsibility among residents for maintaining cleanliness, respect for the environment, and creating favorable living conditions. Children and young people had the opportunity to participate in practical activities, which fostered environmental awareness from an early age.
Thus, the cleanup day on October 4, 2025, in the Turansky District was a large-scale and productive event, demonstrating a high level of engagement from residents, municipal employees, and entrepreneurs. Thanks to their joint efforts, the district's territorial facilities, streets, public spaces, and social amenities were restored, ensuring comfortable, safe, and clean conditions for residents.
Regularly holding such cleanup days helps maintain high levels of sanitation, improves the environmental situation, and fosters a responsible attitude toward the environment among the population.
