The Brazilian National Nuclear Energy Association (ABDN) celebrates its 35th anniversary

Brasilia, October 20, 2025- At the invitation of the Federal Government of Brazil, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov took part in the anniversary ceremony honoring the Brazilian peaceful atomic energy program under the motto "Brazil's Nuclear Heritage.
The Evolution Continues." The event was attended by representatives of the federal government, the diplomatic corps accredited in Brazil, as well as the management of Brazilian companies using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in the fields of nuclear energy, defense, medicine, ecology, and IT technologies.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan was welcomed by the President of the Brazilian National Nuclear Energy Association (ABDN), Mr. Celso Ferreira Cunha , who highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, in particular in terms of mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan's national company Kazatomprom to ensure the operation of nuclear power plants in Brazil.
The Brazilian Association for the Development of Nuclear Energy (ABDAN) is Brazil's leading organization, bringing together a number of Brazilian companies that use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It was founded in 1990 and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. ABDAN is the main partner of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the implementation of joint projects in Brazil and South America.
