Kazakhstan Participated in the Fifth Session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water

Jeddah, October 22, 2025 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Cooperation Organization Madiyar Menilbekov took part in the Fifth Session of the Islamic conference of Ministers Responsible for Water, held under the theme: “From Vision to Impact”.
The conference addressed urgent issues related to the rational use of water resources, ensuring water and food security, and strengthening cooperation among OIC member states in the areas of sustainable development and climate change adaptation.
Special attention during the conference was given to enhancing solidarity, promoting innovative approaches, and encouraging joint actions by member states to ensure the right to safe and sustainable water for present and future generations. The conference aims to facilitate the development of practical measures to strengthen water and food security, foster innovation, and support joint solutions for the shared prosperity of the peoples of the Islamic world.
As an active member of the OIC, Kazakhstan supports initiatives aimed at advancing “water diplomacy” and implementing joint projects in the fields of water technologies and environmental protection.
