Kazakhstan and Indonesia Expand Business Partnership

25 October 2025, Yogyakarta - As part of the work to strengthen investment and trade-economic cooperation with the regions of Indonesia, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Serzhan Abdykarimov spoke at the 4th Annual National Conference of the Indonesian Chamber of Entrepreneurs (KEIND) in the city of Yogyakarta in the eastern part of the island of Java. The diplomat presented the favorable investment and business climate in our country and spoke about promising areas and new niches for developing bilateral cooperation in the context of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s September State of the Nation Address, “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Solutions through Digital Transformation.” Indonesian business circles were invited to engage in mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of energy and mining, transportation and logistics, agriculture and food industry, digitalization and AI, tourism, and Islamic banking as part of the activities of the Astana International Financial Center. The Ambassador emphasized that investors who invest at least 300 000 USD in the Kazakhstan’s economy receives "golden visa" and 10-year residence permit in Kazakhstan. The visa-free regime for Indonesian citizens in Kazakhstan for up to 30 days was mentioned, and videos about Kazakhstan's rich tourism potential were shown. At the end of the event, Indonesian entrepreneurs received answers to their questions and expressed practical interest in developing and expanding their businesses in Kazakhstan.
