On the eve of Republic Day, an open nationwide dictation on the topic “Oqu jaiy” by the great Kazakh educator and writer Akhmet Baitursynov was held at military unit 6636 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.
About one hundred servicemen of the unit took part in the dictation. The main goal of the event was to promote the state language, develop writing literacy, and enhance the interest of the guardsmen in learning it.
“Through the dictation, we once again confirmed that knowledge of the state language is an integral part of the professional and cultural training of every serviceman. Such activities help strengthen interest in the language and improve the literacy level of the personnel,” noted Major Asemgul Mukhamedrakhimova, Senior Assistant to the Head of the Educational and Socio-Legal Work Section for the Implementation of the State Language of military unit 6636.
Before the dictation began, servicemen attended presentations by prominent public figures and language experts. Among them were Makpal Zhumabay, General Director of the Til-Qazyna Scientific and Practical Center, and Sailaoukhan Abylai, Executive Director of the International Society of the Kazakh Language. They emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the Kazakh language as a vital symbol of independence and national unity.
The dictation took place in specially equipped classrooms, where participants wrote a patriotic text after listening to it being read aloud.
It is worth noting that participants will receive electronic certificates of appreciation and a free subscription to the KITAP mobile application.
The participation of servicemen in the nationwide “Ulttyq dıktant” project became not only a test of knowledge but also an important contribution to the development of linguistic culture among the guardsmen.
