Head of the Department of Culture, Archives, and Documentation of Zhetysu Region Kuanish Sultanuly Suleimenov delivered a welcoming speech. He congratulated the librarians who selflessly work for the benefit of the people, preserving and promoting national spiritual values, and ensuring public access to cultural and sectoral information. In his address, he emphasized the invaluable contribution of librarians to the cultural and spiritual development of society, noting that through their work, the younger generation develops a passion for knowledge, art, and literature.

This year, in honor of Librarian’s Day, for their significant contribution to the development of the library field, as well as for their personal professional and creative achievements, the “Excellence in Culture” badge was awarded to Bibigul Abenkizi Kaliyeva, librarian of the Karatal District Central Library, and Shiker Kurmangaziyevna Kudaikulova, head of the Panfilov District Children’s Library.

The Certificate of Honor of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to:Nurqairat Sagimbaykyzy Usabayeva, head of the Taldybulak Village Library of Kerbulak District;Maral Tolegenkyzy Akhmetova, librarian of the Aktekshi Village Library of Koksu District;Gulmira Sauytbaykyzy Tustebayeva, librarian of the Reader Services Department of the Saken Seifullin Central Library of Zhetysu Region.

Letters of Appreciation from the Minister of Culture and Information were presented to:Guldana Nurgaliyevna Kashkynbayeva, librarian of the Ulken Shygan Village Library of Panfilov District;Saule Toktasynkyzy Kurmangaliyeva, librarian of the Bakaly Village Library of Sarkand District;Kumis Zhumadilkyzy, librarian of Branch No. 7 of the Taldykorgan City Library.

Certificates of Honor from the Akim of Zhetysu Region were awarded to:Zhumakul Zhebegenovna Tostekbayeva, head of the Shankhanai Village Library of Kerbulak District;Ilnur Basimovna Miftakhova, librarian of the Taldykorgan City Children’s Library;Zhanar Zeynelkabdenkyzy Sayabayeva, librarian of the Kyzylashy Village Library of Alakol District.Letters of Appreciation from the Akim of Zhetysu Region were awarded to:Zhazira Aitzhanovna Kurmanbayeva, librarian of the Kabanbai Village Children’s Library of Alakol District;Bagdagul Abduldzhanovna Dzhalgasbekova, librarian of the Sholakai Village Library of Panfilov District.

In addition, from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstani Library Association, eight librarians from the region were awarded the “Honored Librarian of Kazakhstan” badge, six librarians received Certificates of Honor, and five received Letters of Appreciation.

Based on the results of the competitions organized by the Saken Seifullin Central Library of Zhetysu Region, aimed at enhancing the professional skills and creative potential of library specialists and adapting library work to modern trends, the following awards were presented:In the category «Leader Library – 2025» – V. Mayakovsky Centralized Library of Taldykorgan;In the category «Best Veteran Librarian – 2025» – Nazgul Dosaevna Albilanova, head of the Taldykorgan City Children’s Library;In the category «Best Young Librarian – 2025»– Aizhan Bekezhankyzy Nusip, librarian of the Kokzhazyk Village Library of Eskeldy District;In the category «Best Methodologist of the Year» – Zhanar Chaykhidanovna Seidakhmetova, librarian of the Kerbulak District Library;In the category «Best Bibliographer – 2025» – Aiyma Nurakhmetova, librarian of the Koksu District Library;In the category «Best Project for Children» – Aktorghyn Dauletkeldikyzy Dauletkazy, librarian of the Yntaly Village Library of Panfilov District.

The festive event was attended by representatives of the regional intelligentsia, librarians, invited writers and poets, as well as regular library readers.

The celebration concluded with a concert by the artists of the Danesh Rakishev Philharmonic.
