Brasilia, October 30, 2025 – Bolat Nussupov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Brazil, met with Ricardo Lewandowski, Minister of Justice and Public Security of Brazil.

During the conversation, Bolat Nussupov briefed his interlocutor on the reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan as part of the President's Address to the People of Kazakhstan, "A Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, and Social Optimism," dated September 2, 2025. The focus was on the implementation of constitutional and legal reforms that have strengthened the foundations of the country's statehood and the rule of law.

The parties also discussed current issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, including legal cooperation, the digitalization of public services, and the exchange of experience on improving legislation, protecting human rights, and combating corruption. Particular attention was paid to Kazakhstan's favorable investment legislation and its transport and logistics capabilities for attracting Brazilian investment into the Kazakh economy.

The Kazakh diplomat emphasized Kazakhstan's particular importance to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Brazil in improving legal norms and expressed its readiness to facilitate the establishment of direct contacts between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of Brazil.

In this context, an agreement was reached to prepare for the signing of an intergovernmental Agreement on Legal Assistance in Civil Matters. For his part, Minister Lewandowski praised Kazakhstan's progress in implementing judicial and legal reforms, emphasizing their interest in exchanging experiences in digital justice and legal support for economic processes. Following the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of reciprocal visits and confirmed their intention to continue a constructive dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
