A solemn meeting was held in the walls of the UIS department for the Abai region. The head of the department Galymzhan Baltabayev congratulated the entire staff and veterans on the upcoming holidays.

          — Dear guests and colleagues! I sincerely congratulate you on Defender of the Fatherland Day! I wish you to always stay in the ranks and be an example of true courage. May our country prosper and not know civil strife and wars. I wish you to keep your courage and principles, honor and pride, responsibility and care, always listening to the dictates of your heart and conscience," he said.

            In total, more than 400 employees serve in the Department of the Penitentiary System and regional institutions. The Deputy head of institution No. 23, Ernat Baizhumenov, was awarded a badge on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs for his contribution to the development of the penal enforcement system. The head of the department for educational and socio-psychological work among the convicts, Aydin Uvais, was awarded a medal. A number of employees were also awarded diplomas from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and letters of thanks from the head of the Department.

             The festive event was continued by a concert program organized by the women's collective of the DUIS and regional institutions.
