Belgian companies prepare for a business mission to Kazakhstan

Brussels, 4 November 2025 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Belgium hosted a meeting between Ambassador Roman Vassilenko and representatives of Belgian companies ahead of the upcoming business mission of the regional trade agencies AWEX and FIT to Kazakhstan, which will take place in Almaty and Astana on 19–21 November 2025.
The event brought together executives and representatives of John Cockerill Group, Bimex Solutions, Hydrometal-JGI, IBA Proton Therapy, Libinvest, Belgo Multimodal, UAUcollectiv 4 Architecture, Ugani Prosthetics, as well as officials from AWEX, FIT, and Credendo.
In his remarks, Ambassador Vassilenko emphasized that over the past 33 years of diplomatic relations, Kazakhstan and Belgium have developed strong political and economic ties. He noted that today, bilateral cooperation has advanced to a new and higher level of partnership.
He stressed that Kazakhstan is a reliable partner with a resilient economy and transparent business environment.
“We offer a dynamic, open, and predictable setting for investors, one that welcomes innovation and fosters industrial cooperation,” he said.
The Ambassador also noted that the Government of Kazakhstan guarantees investment protection and tax stability, while allowing investors to sign direct investment agreements with the Government.
During the roundtable, particular attention was given to priority areas of cooperation such as transport and logistics, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, information technologies, processing of critical minerals, and construction materials manufacturing.
The participants also discussed Kazakhstan’s logistical potential within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), which offers a direct connection between Europe, Central Asia, and China.
Belgian companies emphasized Kazakhstan’s high potential as a key economic and logistics hub of Central Asia, open to industrial and technological collaboration.
In conclusion, Ambassador Vassilenko invited Belgian companies to take an active part in the upcoming AWEX and FIT business mission to Kazakhstan, noting that the visit will be an important step toward further strengthening industrial and investment partnerships between Kazakhstan and Belgium.
