Kazakhstan delegation attends Pre-COP event

São Paulo, November 5, 2025 - As part of a working visit to Brazil to participate in the COP30 Leaders' Summit, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Nyssanbayev visited the Summit Agenda SP+Verde Congress as a guest of honor at the invitation of the Brazilian side.
During the event, Yerlan Nyssanbayev met with Secretary for Ecology Natalia Resende Andrade Avila, and visited thematic pavilions showcasing innovative projects in the field of renewable energy and eco-friendly design, interactive exhibitions, and educational installations that allow participants to learn about sustainable development concepts.
This forum in São Paulo is one of the key events ahead of the COP30 conference in Belém, Amazonia, organized by the São Paulo State Government with the participation of the São Paulo City Hall and the University of São Paulo (USP). The aim of the congress is to bring together representatives of government, the scientific community, the private sector, and civil society to discuss ways to accelerate the ecological transition and sustainable development.
The congress will focus on four key areas: «green» finance, urban sustainability, climate justice, and the transition to clean energy. The cross-cutting theme is the circular economy as a tool for reducing waste and increasing the efficient use of natural resources.
The state of São Paulo is the most populous and industrially developed state in Brazil. The state produces about one-third of Brazil's GDP, which is about US$260 billion. The leading sectors of the state's economy are mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, aircraft manufacturing, finance, trade, textiles and food processing, agriculture, and livestock farming.
