In Ust-Kamenogorsk, at the Anti-Crisis Center of military unit 3477 of the “Shyǵys” Regional Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a tactical medicine training course was conducted with the participation of instructors from the U.S. Armed Forces.
The goal of the course was to enhance the professional preparedness of the “Bürkit” special forces unit in providing medical assistance under combat (tactical) conditions.
During the training, the guardsmen practiced the sequence and practical application of the MARCH algorithm, mastered techniques for controlling massive bleeding and maintaining airway patency, and learned procedures for treating chest injuries and managing foreign objects embedded in the body. They also gained experience in field blood transfusion and infusion therapy.
Particular attention was given to the planning of medical support for combat operations — including the organization of evacuation routes, coordination with command, and establishment of casualty collection points.
As a result of the training, the servicemen of the law and order troops strengthened their practical skills in providing aid under time and resource constraints. This contributes to improving their effectiveness in crisis situations, local special operations, and emergency response following terrorist attacks.
It is worth noting that this training is part of a comprehensive effort to develop the tactical medicine system within the National Guard. One of the key initiatives for 2025 is the establishment of a specialized tactical medicine service within the structure of the law and order troops. Continuing this work, an instructional-methodical workshop for the advanced training of medical personnel was held at military unit 6654.
