10.11.2025 11:30:51 109In order to promote anti-corruption education among young people, to promote the growth of politically literate citizens, and to foster a patriotic youth that respects the established principles of our state, the Saken Seifullin Central Library organized an information hour on the topic "Corruption is a Disease of Society" for high school students at Specialized Lyceum No. 20 in Taldykorgan.
The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Alibek Izbasarov, an investigator for particularly important cases at the Organizational and Control Department of the Economic Investigations Department for the Zhetysu Region, who explained to the young people that the fight against corruption is becoming a pressing issue of national importance in the country, as it poses a significant obstacle to the country's development and economic growth. During the discussion, he provided detailed information on topics such as drops, gambling addiction, online casinos, and drug trafficking, and demonstrated relevant videos.
Duman Kunafin, the class teacher of the 10A class, and Laura Serikova, the head of the library, emphasized that anti-corruption measures are of great importance for young people, as they are the future of the country. They noted that educating young people in the spirit of justice and responsibility directly affects the development of society.
At the end of the event, the librarian Ayana Oteuli introduced the book exhibition "Corruption is the Disease of the Century," which featured publications such as "Problems of Combating Corruption Crimes" by Asilbek Smagulov, "Fighting Corruption: Theory and Practice" by Esbergen Alauhanov, "Qualifying Features of Corruption Crimes" by Saken Kemelbekov, and others.
