In the Department for the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Saken Seifullin Central Library of the Zhetysu Region, an information hour titled “Khans of the Kazakh Khanate” was held in honor of the 560th anniversary of the establishment of the Kazakh Khanate.
Librarian Rauan Nurlanov told the audience about the history and significance of the formation of the Kazakh Khanate, highlighting the role of Kerei and Janibek - the founders of the state, who became symbols of the people’s aspiration for independence. He also noted that rulers such as Kasym Khan, Yesim Khan, and Tauke Khan made a great contribution to the development of statehood, and their codes of laws -“Kasym Khan’s Bright Path”, “Yesim Khan’s Old Path”, and “Zheti Zhargy” Seven Charter - became the foundation of justice and order in society.
As part of the event, a book exhibition titled “The Kazakh Khanate – The Origins of Independence” was organized, featuring publications dedicated to the history of the Khanate and the role of Kazakh rulers in state governance. Participants learned many new facts about the lives and deeds of historical figures, which helped to increase interest in national history and fostered respect for the past of their homeland.
