Perspectives of Kazakhstan-Thailand military-industrial cooperation discussed in Bangkok
11.11.2025 16:01:17 56Bangkok, November 10, 2025 - Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Thailand Margulan Baimukhan attended the opening ceremony of the international exhibition "Defense & Security 2025," held under the slogan "The Power of Partnership," at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. The event was chaired by the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Thailand, Nothapon Narkpanich.
During the event, the Ambassador was introduced to the latest advances in defense technology, as well as innovative developments by leading international companies.
Within the exhibition, the Kazakh diplomat established working contacts with representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the armed forces, and industrial enterprises of Thailand, as well as foreign companies and specialized organizations.
On the sidelines of the fair, targeted meetings were held with the management of leading Thai manufacturing companies and scientific and technical institutions in the military-industrial complex, including Chaiseri Co. Ltd, Thai Rung Union Car PLC, Marsun PLC, Seatboat Ltd, and the Institute of Defense Technology of Thailand.
At the meetings, prospects for developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Thailand were discussed, as well as the exchange of experience, establishing substantive cooperation, and organizing joint events between the two countries' manufacturers in the military-technical sector.
For reference: The International Exhibition "Defense & Security 2025" will be held from November 10 to 13, 2025, at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. It is one of the largest regional events, held regularly every two years with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Thailand, bringing together representatives of defense agencies, industry, and the expert community from more than 60 countries to showcase advanced technologies and strengthen international cooperation in defense and security.
The Thai Armed Forces are considered among the best prepared and combat-ready in Southeast Asia. In the 2025 Global Firepower ranking, the Thai military ranks 25th in the world. According to The Military Balance, the country's armed forces possess a "balanced structure and robust capability to conduct defensive operations."
