Geneva, November 12, 2025 – Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office at Geneva Erzhan Kazykhan met with Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Tatiana Molcean to discuss priorities of bilateral engagement and Kazakhstan's economic development.

Ambassador Kazykhan emphasized Kazakhstan's consistent support for the Commission's work as a Vice-Chair of the UNECE Bureau and the ongoing implementation of joint projects in transport, environment, transboundary water resources, energy, and critical minerals.

The parties also discussed priority areas within the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), preparation for the Regional Ecological Summit in Astana, and new potential initiatives for the comprehensive development of international transport corridors.
