Today, another city-wide cleaning event was organized in Shymkent as part of the traditionally held "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign. The event was held in all districts of the city - Abay, Al-Farabi, Enbekshi Karatau and Turan territories. This time, the events were organized as part of the "Clean Thursday" campaign, in which thousands of residents and representatives of public organizations, utility workers, party members and young people actively participated. City residents joined hands to clean their streets, yards and public areas, contributing to the common cause.
Such large-scale events not only provide environmental benefits, but also strengthen a sense of solidarity and shared responsibility in society.
In the Al-Farabi district, it has become a good tradition to hold a Sabbath cleaning. Cleaning work is carried out here regularly every week. Today's event took place in the Saule microdistrict. Residents and representatives of public utilities collected garbage from apartment buildings and private sector territories and put the streets in order.
According to Berik Zhanayev, head of the district akim's office, about fifty Sabbaths have been held in the district since the beginning of the year.
– Interest from residents is growing year by year. We constantly carry out snow removal in the winter, willow planting in the spring and autumn, and garbage collection. We also regularly carry out propaganda activities aimed at forming an ecological culture, – he said.
In addition, about 400 trees have been planted in the district recently. This work is being carried out based on requests from residents.
The Saturday cleaning in Enbekshy district was held in the courtyard of an apartment building No. 54 on Zhibek Zholy Street. Representatives of the Shymkent city branch of the AMANAT party participated in the event and, together with residents, collected household waste from the yard and along the street, cut down dead grass and branches, and whitewashed the bases of trees.
Zhaksylyk Atayev, a representative of the Enbekshy district akim's office, noted the importance of such Sabbaths for society:
– Maintaining cleanliness in everyday life is a clear manifestation of citizens' compassion for their native land. If everyone keeps their yard clean, the whole city will be more beautiful. The “Clean Thursday” campaign is aimed at instilling this responsibility, – he said.
The Saturday clean-up in the new and rapidly developing Turan district of the city was special. The event was attended by young people and veterans of the district, who, together with residents, cleaned up the area.
Darikha Ramanova, head of the Turan district akimat department, said that the goal of such measures is not only to clean up the area, but also to encourage residents to take care of nature.
"We want young people to follow the example of their elders and pay attention to cleanliness. The cleanliness of the city is our common duty," he said.
During the weekend, leaves were collected, ditches and irrigation systems were cleaned, and trees and shrubs were cared for.
The Chairman of the Veterans' Council, Satybaldy Adilbekuly, also took up a shovel and a broom with the young people and showed his activeness. According to him, the cleanliness of the city is a manifestation of strengthening the continuity between generations.
Representatives of the Shymkent Youth Resource Center also actively participated in the campaign and made their contribution. The city's youth carried out cleaning work and collected household waste in the Al-Farabi district as part of the TazaShym campaign.
In addition, classes and special lectures focused on environmental education were organized in all educational institutions of the city. Students were explained the need to protect the environment, take care of nature, and sort and dispose of household waste in special places.
In particular, open lessons on environmental topics were held at secondary school No. 59. Students actively participated in various events dedicated to environmental issues and received extensive information about the importance of protecting nature and the need to form an ecological culture during lectures entitled "Clean City".
The "Clean Kazakhstan" national project is not just an environmental measure, but a long-term initiative aimed at changing the minds and lifestyles of citizens.
Today, the metropolis is showing exemplary results in this direction for the country. As a result of cleaning measures, the attitude towards nature protection among residents has changed, and the principle of "clean environment - quality life" is being formed.
In turn, the city administration calls on residents to keep their yards clean, maintain order and cleanliness in public places, and contribute to the beautification of the city.
As a result of today's large-scale clean-up, streets and yards, public areas and recreation areas in all districts of Shymkent have been put in order. These measures, which have had a positive impact on the ecological situation of the city, will continue in the future.
