Participation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Hungary in the “14th Diplomatic Charity Fair”

Budapest, 16 November 2025. - Under the patronage of Mrs. Zsuzsanna Nagy, spouse of the President of Hungary, and organised by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest, the traditional Diplomatic Charity Fair was held in Budapest with the participation of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event served as an important platform demonstrating Kazakhstan’s commitment to supporting charitable initiatives, fostering goodwill, compassion, and solidarity.
At the national booth, visitors were presented with Kazakh handicrafts, souvenirs, traditional cuisine, and cultural exhibits introducing the rich heritage of Kazakhstan.
Charity is a force that brings cultures and hearts closer together. As the Kazakh proverb says: “Good deeds always return.” Such events strengthen friendship between nations while offering practical assistance to those in need. The Embassy expresses gratitude to its staff for their contribution to the preparation and operation of the booth.
The fair took place in a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The Kazakh booth attracted significant attention, and all products were sold out quickly, receiving excellent feedback from visitors. All proceeds were donated to Hungarian charitable foundations supporting social projects.
The Embassy additionally presented the Born Bold campaign, positioning Kazakhstan as a bold and attractive destination for global business, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
Background: The Diplomatic Charity Fair is organised annually by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest and was held for the 14th time in 2025. Traditionally, participating countries showcase national food, beverages, handicrafts, consumer goods, cosmetics, and cultural products, along with cultural performances.
This year’s proceeds support the following Hungarian organisations:
- Egymásért Gemma Sportegyesület (Szeged) – promoting inclusive opportunities for intellectually disabled youth;
- Dévai Szent Ferenc Foundation – supporting children facing difficult life situations;
- Szolnok Handicraft Circle and Tisza Region Folk Art Foundation – preserving traditional crafts and regional cultural heritage.
