On November 19, 2025, the Department of State Revenues for the East Kazakhstan Region held a seminar for representatives of consulting companies, participants in foreign economic activity, mass media, and bloggers.

During the meeting, the department’s specialists explained current issues in tax legislation. The following topics were discussed:

• Changes in tax audits effective from January 1, 2026;

• Combating illegal turnover of tobacco products. Changes in excise duties

from January 1, 2026;

• Taxation of non-residents’ income from sources in Kazakhstan, updates;

• Bankruptcy of legal entities — debt restructuring procedures;

• Ensuring compliance with customs duties and tax obligations.

The event was held in a constructive atmosphere, and participants received comprehensive answers to their questions.
