Vilnius, 18 November 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Timur Urazayev held a meeting with the Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, Juozas Olekas, to exchange views on the bilateral agenda and key international developments.

The parties discussed the importance of interparliamentary cooperation, including the active work of the Lithuania–Kazakhstan Friendship Group, the promotion of dialogue between the Lithuanian and Kazakhstani delegations in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), as well as supporting measures aimed at strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.

They stressed the potential for transport and logistics cooperation. The importance of preserving trade connectivity and advancing practical collaboration through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) remains a shared priority for both sides, the Embassy of Kazakhstan noted.

The Speaker of the Parliament was briefed on Kazakhstan’s digital transformation and growing opportunities in the IT and innovation sectors, including projects within Astana Hub, the country’s leading technopark for advanced technological initiatives.
