Kazakhstan has proposed to North Macedonia to establish a joint Business Council to deepen cooperation

Skopje, November 19, 2025 – Kazakhstan Ambassador Satybaldy Burshakov met with CEO of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia Antoni Peshev.

During the constructive dialogue, Ambassador Burshakov informed in detail about the large-scale political and economic reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan, as well as about the opportunities for foreign investors in priority sectors of our country's economy.

The parties held a substantive discussion on the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. During the conversation, the significant complementarity of the economies of the two countries was noted and substantial potential for increasing cooperation in key sectors was identified.

Special emphasis was placed on the need to intensify direct contacts between the business communities. In this regard, the parties stressed the key role that the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia have to play in bringing business communities closer together.

As a concrete step towards institutionalizing this partnership, the Kazakh side submitted for consideration a draft agreement on the establishment of the Kazakh-Macedonian Business Council. This initiative is designed to create a permanent platform for dialogue and practical interaction between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Peshev highly appreciated the sustainability of Kazakhstan's macroeconomic development and expressed interest in further fruitful cooperation. 

For reference: The Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, founded in 1922 and with more than 15,000 active members, is today the oldest and most influential business structure in the country.
