Punjab Province, November 20, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan H. E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin payed a working visit to Gujranwala, Punjab province, which is the 3rd industrial center of the country.
During the visit, the Ambassador visited the Gujranwala Institute of Future Technologies (GIFT) and held a meeting with the University's leadership, faculty members and students.
The Sides discussed the prospects for developing cooperation and noted the significant existing potential.
Addressing the audience, the Ambassador spoke about the reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan, the political and socio-economic situation, priorities in the foreign policy, as well as the current agenda of bilateral relations with Pakistan.
Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin took part in the launching ceremony of “Kazakhstan and Pakistan Growth Window”.
On the same day, the Ambassador held a meeting with the leadership and members of the Gujranwala Business Center and participated in the inaugurating of the “Made in Gujranwala” digital portal aimed at simplifying business process for Pakistani manufacturers.
In addition, the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gujranwala, where he held talks with the leadership and members of the organization.
The Kazakh diplomat spoke about the business opportunities and investment climate in Kazakhstan.
The parties discussed the outcomes of the visit of a delegation of businessmen from Gujranwala to Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the participation of entrepreneurs of the city in the events planned by the Embassy and the organization of another trip of the Pakistan delegation to Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan expresses his gratitude to Mr. Ahmad Ikram Lon, Chairman of the Gujranwala Business Center, and Mr. Muhammad Anwar Dar, Chairman and Founder of GIFT University, for their assistance in organizing the trip.
