On November 21, 2025, a meeting of the expert council under the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner for the Almaty Region was held.
Several issues were discussed, including the inclusion of new members to the expert council, the election of the deputy chair and secretary of the expert council, the preparation of materials for the implementation of the work plan items for the fourth quarter of 2025, the establishment of deadlines for their implementation, and issues of planning the expert council's work for 2026.
Furthermore, proposals were made to submit a recommendation to the regional Department of Education to nominate a representative from the Department of Education for inclusion on the expert council, as well as to the regional Akim (Governor) to consider the issue of ensuring the salaries of advisers to akims on disability issues.
