In the Mangystau Region, employees of the Department of the Penal Enforcement System held a preventive meeting with students of the Sh. Yessenov Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering.

The main goal of the meeting was to explain to young people the consequences of offenses and crimes, to convey the importance of knowing the law, and to encourage them to make informed choices.

During the meeting, a video was shown featuring the sincere regrets of convicted individuals. The norms of criminal legislation were explained, and the topics of gambling addiction, fraud, and cyber fraud were discussed. Specialists provided concrete examples of how a single mistake can affect a person’s life.

Employees of the penal enforcement system emphasized that crime is never a solution to a problem—rather, it can restrict a person’s freedom and close the path to the future.

“The main focus was on legal literacy. Knowledge of the law is not just theory, but a real tool that allows a person to protect their life,” said Kanat Kasymbekov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Social and Educational Work with Convicted Persons of the Penal Enforcement System.
