On December 2, 2025, Gabiden Temirbek, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Montenegro, met with Mr. Susith Hettihewa, Air Astana’s Regional Manager for Europe. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the airline’s seasonal flights connecting Astana, Almaty, and Podgorica, which have shown strong performance and growing demand.

The two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation for 2026 and emphasized the importance of improved air connectivity in supporting tourism and fostering closer ties between Kazakhstan and Montenegro.
