KazAID and the UN Volunteers Programme discussed prospects for cooperation

On 10 December 2025, in Astana, a meeting was held between Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of KazAID, and Nikita Shabaev, Country Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteers Programme in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the key areas of UNV's activities were presented and the prospects for cooperation between KazAID and the UN Volunteers Programme were discussed. Particular attention was paid to plans for joint projects in 2026 – the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, announced on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and proclaimed by the UN General Assembly.

The meeting confirmed the parties' readiness to actively cooperate and develop joint initiatives that promote volunteerism and social development in partner countries.
