Gdańsk, December 12, 2025 - The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland, in cooperation with the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Gdańsk, organized an economic seminar titled “UNDERSTANDING ASIA. KAZAKHSTAN,” bringing together representatives of Polish business, the expert community, and governmental and public organizations interested in developing cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

At the seminar, the Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Larissa Jumagaliyeva, delivered a presentation on Kazakhstan’s strategic role as a key economic and logistics hub in Eurasia, emphasizing the country’s openness to expanding partnerships with Polish entrepreneurs.

The event also featured presentations by a representative of Poland’s leading analytical center OSW and historians, focusing on Kazakhstan’s geopolitical and economic position between East and West, historical aspects, and their impact on contemporary political and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Practical issues related to entering the Kazakh market were addressed by representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Polish-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Center for Certification of Eastern Markets, and experts in logistics, law, and international trade. Participants also learned from Polpharma’s experience in doing business in Kazakhstan.

The seminar paid special attention to legal aspects of cooperation, transport and logistics routes, export support tools, and opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions.

The high level of participant engagement and lively discussion confirmed the sustained interest of Polish businesses in Kazakhstan as a reliable partner and a “gateway” to the Central Asian market.
