Coming to the National Guard for one year—and staying for the long term. This is exactly how the life path of Balgyn Aidyn unfolded, for whom conscript service became not a pause in life, but a point of growth and a conscious choice.
In the Year of Working Professions announced by the President, the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan not only fulfills tasks to ensure public order, but also creates real opportunities for the self-realization of young specialists.
The story of a servicemember of military unit 5513 of the Regional Command “Oñtüstik” is a clear confirmation of this approach.
Balgyn Aidyn, 25, was conscripted from Taldykorgan and arrived at military unit 5513 in the city of Taraz already possessing substantial professional experience. Behind him are seven years of study at Semey Medical University and a diploma as a general practitioner.
During the first six months, he performed patrol and guard duties, ensuring public order on the streets of Taraz. It was during this period that he came to realize that military service was not a temporary stage, but an environment in which his knowledge could deliver tangible results. Aidyn made the decision to continue his service in the ranks of the National Guard, this time under a contract.
The unit’s command supported the young specialist’s choice, recognizing his professionalism and motivation. Today, Balgyn Aidyn holds the position of Head of the Medical Post of the military unit.
His mission is to safeguard the health of personnel, assist servicemembers in recovery, and ensure their prompt return to duty. He performs these responsibilities with confidence, combining medical precision with military responsibility.
In the near future, Balgyn Aidyn will receive his first officer rank—Lieutenant.
This story is not an exception, but the result of the systematic work of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Here, conscript service can become the starting point of a professional career, while a civilian specialty serves as a powerful resource for strengthening the law enforcement forces.
The National Guard is a place where knowledge finds its proper application, and the decision to continue serving becomes a deliberate and meaningful choice.
