Why it is important to do this before December 31:

3. Freedom of movement: If you have tax debts over 40 MRP, you may be banned from leaving the country. Don't let debts ruin your vacation or vacations!
4. Access to finances: Persistent defaulters risk having their bank accounts blocked.
