In Shymkent, a new 110/35/10 kV, 40 MVA "Akzhar" electrical substation was opened in the "Kursai" residential complex. City Mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov attended the event.

It should be noted that the substation equipment has successfully passed all technical inspections and tests. Load transfer is scheduled for early 2026, following the completion of the installation of the third autotransformer at the 220/110/6 kV Kazygur substation, which will ensure the full connection of Akzhar to the city's power grid.

The launch of the substation will create new opportunities for connecting subscribers in the Kursay residential complex, expanding business activities, and increasing the production capacity of enterprises in the Trade and Logistics Center industrial zone.

The project will also improve the stability and uninterrupted power supply through the further development of the city's power grid loop.
