The nationwide environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" continues in Shymkent. This initiative is an important project aimed at environmental protection, improving the well-being of communities, and fostering environmental awareness among the population.
The campaign includes measures to maintain the city's cleanliness, preserve the natural environment and cultural monuments, and increase residents' responsibility for environmental health. In this regard, special environmental events were organized in all schools and colleges in Shymkent.
In particular, Secondary School No. 149, which is under the jurisdiction of the city's education department, held an environmental education hour, during which students were given a detailed explanation of the importance of cleanliness and environmental protection in human life. Furthermore, the Highway College held an environmental hour on the topic "A Clean Environment – A Conscious Generation," where it was noted that a clean environment directly impacts the appearance of the city, the health of residents, and the improvement of the environmental situation. During the event, it was emphasized that caring for cleanliness must begin with each individual.
Young people in the city are also actively participating in the environmental campaign. At the initiative of the Shymkent City Youth Resource Center, volunteers and active youth organized a special event to raise awareness among the public.
"Since the launch of the national campaign 'Taza Kazakstan,' city youth have been actively participating in all events. This is a step aimed at setting an example for the younger generation. A clean city is a reflection of society. This campaign not only fosters hard work and responsibility but also promotes environmental awareness among residents," noted Alzhan Aruzhan, Deputy Director of the Shymkent City Youth Resource Center.
Active youth carried out cleanup work in the area surrounding the Youth Resource Center building and distributed informational leaflets on environmental protection and cleanliness among residents.
In addition, mass cleanup days were organized in all districts of the city. In particular, in the Zhideli microdistrict of the Abay district on Shalkar Street, local residents actively participated in the cleanup campaign, clearing streets and public spaces of trash and performing landscaping work.
"Cleanliness isn't just an external appearance; it's also an indicator of internal culture and order. Making cleanliness a way of life is the key to health and longevity. Through such good initiatives, we must set an example for the younger generation and instill an environmental culture in them," emphasized Orynsha Tazhibaeva, a resident of the Abay District.
Keeping the city clean is a sign of respect for the environment we live in and a responsibility to future generations. Therefore, the Shymkent City Administration calls on every resident to be proactive and contribute to creating a clean and well-maintained city.
