Following the publication of the interview of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Turkistan newspaper, representatives of the tourism industry of East Kazakhstan Region reviewed the key messages of the interview and shared their professional assessments regarding regional development and the tourism sector.

Experts noted that the interview places particular emphasis on sustainable socio-economic development, investment growth, and improving the quality of life, all of which are directly linked to the development of tourism in the regions.

According to representatives of the tour operator community, accommodation facilities, tourist bases, the hotel business, and sectoral organizations, the priorities outlined in the interview confirm the need for:

• a systematic approach to the development of regional tourism;

• accelerated development of engineering and transport infrastructure;

• active attraction of investments into the tourism sector;

• support for local entrepreneurial initiatives;

• comprehensive promotion of regional tourism potential.

It was also emphasized that East Kazakhstan Region possesses significant natural and tourism potential and, with the consistent implementation of the outlined approaches, can be considered one of the country’s most promising tourism regions.
