On December 24, 2025, a meeting of the Public Council of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk was held, at which the following issues were considered:

"On the state of school nutrition in Ust-Kamenogorsk";
"On cleaning streets, sidewalks, and bus stops in Ust-Kamenogorsk";
"Analysis of internal corruption risks and corruption manifestations in the State Institution "Finance Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk"

The members of the Public Council discussed the problem of matching the menu to the needs of elementary school students with special health conditions in order to ensure their equal access to free meals in school canteens. It was noted that it is necessary to accelerate the work on the development and approval of a new buffet menu, as these products are in high demand among all visitors to school canteens. In addition, the issue of the work of the marriage commissions was considered, during which it was recommended to increase the number of parents in these commissions, as well as regularly publish information about their work on school websites and chat rooms. As for the activities of entrepreneurs in school canteens, it was noted that bona fide tenants should consider the possibility of extending lease agreements in order to motivate their sustainable activities.

The meeting also discussed the problems of maintaining the city's territory during the winter period. The members of the Public Council noted many shortcomings in the work of public utilities in this area and the lack of implementation of previously given recommendations. This issue remains on the agenda of the Public Council and will be reviewed again at the next meeting.

During the hearing of the results of the internal analysis of corruption risks in the city finance department, the high quality of the work carried out was noted. The information was taken into consideration.

As a result of the meeting, the Public Council sent recommendations to the Department of Education for the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk on the issue of school meals and to the Department of Housing and Communal Services on the issue of winter maintenance of the city.
