Servicemen of military unit 3660 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan detained a civilian carrying a bladed weapon while ensuring public order in the city of Konaev.

During patrol duty, the patrol group leader, Junior Sergeant Azamat Baigul, together with patrolmen Private Dosmyrza Myrzakhmet and Private Beksultan Mailybay, were performing service in their assigned area, ensuring the safety and peace of city residents.

While on duty, the National Guard servicemen noticed a suspicious man who attempted to flee upon seeing the patrol. After stopping the individual, identifying themselves, and conducting a preliminary search, the servicemen discovered a long-bladed knife (machete) on his person.

The detainee was handed over to officers of the Konaev City Police Department for further investigation. A review is currently being conducted regarding this incident.

The coordinated and professional actions of the National Guard servicemen contributed to the timely detection and prevention of a potentially dangerous offense.
