A Meeting on Tourism Development Issues Was Held

On January 15, 2026, a working meeting was held to review current issues related to the development of the tourism sector.

During the meeting, a number of systemic initiatives aimed at enhancing tourist safety, improving the quality of tourism services, and advancing digital solutions in the tourism sector were discussed. In particular, the following issues were reviewed:

  • introducing amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Tourist Activity”, including the addition and clarification of terminology;

  • approval of a registry of tourist routes;

  • development of rules for the operation of catamarans and personal watercraft (jet skis);

  • installation of QR codes at national park checkpoints for the registration of tourists and tourist groups;

  • ensuring internet connectivity at tourist facilities;

  • formation of a list of hazardous points and tourist routes;

  • creation of a tourist route map at points of entry to the region, including border checkpoints and the airport.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to formulate relevant proposals and submit them to the authorized government bodies for further consideration and elaboration.

Efforts to create a safe, convenient, and modern tourism environment in the region are ongoing.
