A meeting of the section "Socio-cultural development" was held in Kyzylorda today as part of the V National Kurultai. The Chairman was Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva. The meeting was attended by members of Parliament, representatives of the creative intelligentsia and public figures. During the section, issues of developing culture and the creative industry, improving the social sphere, and strengthening family values were discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of children's content and the development of the animation industry. In this direction, it is planned to form a separate animation direction within the framework of the Creative Industry Support Fund. "In accordance with the instructions given in the President's Message, a Fund for the Support of Creative Industries has been established under the Ministry. Currently, its material and technical base is being formed and a separate direction for animation is being considered in the structure of the fund. I think it's important to put quality before numbers here. It is necessary to take into account the influence of content on the child's psychology, age characteristics and educational influence. I am sure that after the foundation's full-fledged work begins, the animation industry will receive a new impetus and will develop dynamically," said A. Balayeva. The issues of preserving national traditions and forming a "reading nation" were also raised at the section meeting. The need to create a special commission for the translation of books and the selection of works recommended for publication, the systematic inclusion of works by young authors in the library fund, was noted. Breakout discussions on "Education and science", "civil society" and "Economic development" are continuing within the framework of the Kurultai. It should be noted that important issues were raised and a lot of work was done at the four previous meetings of the National Kurultai. In order to improve legislation, laws have been adopted, and work is underway to amend some draft laws, presidential decrees, and comprehensive development plans. And tomorrow, on January 20, a plenary session of the V National Kurultai will be held with the participation of the head of state.
