A working meeting was held at the Department of the Penal Enforcement System of Astana with the participation of the Head of the Probation Service Supervision Directorate of the Committee of the Penal Enforcement System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel of Justice Yerkin Turlybekuly Nurakhmetov.

During the meeting, the results of the Probation Service’s activities for 2025 were summarized. Participants thoroughly discussed key performance indicators, the outcomes of social and legal assistance provided to individuals under probation supervision, issues related to their resocialization and the prevention of repeat offenses, as well as the progress of interaction with interested government bodies and local executive authorities.

Special attention was paid to problematic issues arising in the practical activities of the Probation Service, analysis of identified shortcomings, and the adoption of specific measures to eliminate them. The importance of strengthening individual preventive work, improving the effectiveness of supervision over persons on probation records, and further developing interagency cooperation was emphasized.

Following the meeting, the Head of the Probation Service Supervision Directorate of the Penal Enforcement System Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued relevant instructions and outlined the priority tasks and key areas of work for the Probation Service for the upcoming period. These tasks are aimed at improving the quality of execution of non-custodial sentences and ensuring public safety.
