A Lecture Was Held as Part of the World Election Day

As part of the World Election Day, a lecture titled “The Rule of Law as the Foundation of a Sustainable Society” was organized.

The tradition of celebrating the World Election Day annually on the first Thursday of February was initiated by the Association of European Election Officials. The main objective of this day is to inform the public about the stages of formation and development of the national electoral system, which are closely linked to the history of the establishment of independent Kazakhstan, to enhance voters’ electoral participation, and to foster a positive attitude toward democratic values among young voters.

In order to commemorate the World Election Day, which is observed on February 5 this year, a ten-day action plan was approved by the Zhanaozen City Territorial Election Commission. Within the framework of this plan, a lecture for students on the topic “The Rule of Law as the Foundation of a Sustainable Society” was held today at the Mangystau Industrial and Technical College named after O. Turmaganbetuly.

During the event, the Chairperson of the Zhanaozen City Territorial Election Commission, S. Mukhammedov, delivered an opening address, while the thematic lecture was presented by the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission, S. Kalaubayev. In addition, comprehensive answers were provided to students’ questions.
