The construction of a major socially significant project - a modern sports complex for Paralympic and Deaflympic sports - has begun in Shymkent. The ceremony of laying a symbolic capsule at the site of the future facility was attended by the city's mayor, Gabit Syzdykbekov.

During the event, the head of the metropolis emphasized the importance of developing an inclusive sports infrastructure and creating equal opportunities for city residents.

"This complex will become not only a sports facility, but also a space of opportunities for people with special needs. Our task is to create an accessible environment, support an active lifestyle, and create conditions for the training of athletes who will honorably represent Shymkent and our country in the international arena," noted Gabit Syzdykbekov.

The facility includes a football field, two universal gyms, special halls for martial arts, dance sports, board games, arm wrestling and powerlifting, as well as a swimming pool and parking.

In addition, the project will include a workout area, jogging and cycling tracks. This will allow the complex to be used as a multifunctional space for training and active recreation.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the instructions of the Head of State and is aimed at developing inclusive sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and creating a comfortable urban environment. The new sports complex is expected to become one of the leading adapted sports centers in the region.
