Shymkent City Maslikhat Discusses New Draft Constitution

Deputies of the Shymkent city maslikhat held a meeting to discuss the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event, opinions were expressed on the new draft Constitution, which is aimed at comprehensive modernization of the country's political system.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the city maslikhat, Bakhadyr Narymbetov, and maslikhat deputies. Bakhadyr Narymbetov attended the meeting of the Constitutional Commission and noted that during the work, important issues that directly affect the future of the country were comprehensively considered. According to him, the working group on parliamentary reform received many proposals from the people and political parties. Systematic and intensive work has been carried out in this direction for half a year.

The Chairman of the Maslikhat noted that the new draft Constitution has raised the mechanisms for protecting human rights to a new level, and that in the conditions of a unicameral Parliament, the process of adopting laws will be accelerated, and the activities of the Parliament and the Government will become more effective.

In turn, maslikhat deputy Bakytzhan Pozilov noted that the new draft Constitution pays special attention to the healthcare sector. According to him, strengthening the principles aimed at protecting the health of the population and improving the quality of medical services is an important step for the country's development. "A healthy nation is the main wealth of the state," he said.

Following the meeting, the participants expressed their support for the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
