Within the framework of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan, an important institutional reform is being implemented aimed at modernizing the country's legislative system. One of the main mechanisms is the creation of a new unicameral Parliament, the Kurultai.

The new Parliament consists of 145 deputies with expanded powers. The term of office of deputies is set at five years, which will ensure stability and continuity of legislative activity.

A proportional electoral system is used when forming the Constitutional Assembly. This approach enhances the role of political parties and contributes to the development of their human resources. At the same time, the institutional weight of parties increases, and political forces become more accountable to society.

These changes are aimed at increasing the efficiency of representative government, strengthening political competition, and qualitatively protecting public interests at the legislative level.
