As part of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to Islamabad, a solemn ceremony was held to inaugurate the cultural and educational centers named after Al-Farabi, Kanysh Satbayev, and Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, as well as the “Dostyk” sports center.

The Al-Farabi Center was opened within the framework of cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Quaid-i-Azam University. The premises are equipped with educational and scientific literature, as well as modern computer equipment and furniture. Courses in the Kazakh language are planned to be organized at the center.

The Kanysh Satbayev Center will operate under the agreements between Satbayev University and the National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan. Its purpose is to develop bilateral cooperation in science, education, and technology.

The Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Center is being established in accordance with an agreement between the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and the International Islamic University Islamabad.

At the “Dostyk” sports center, it is planned to establish Pakistani federations of togyzqumalaq and kazakh kuresi, open branches of Kazakhstan’s chess and mixed martial arts academies Qazaq Batyr, and develop cooperation between the grappling and boxing federations of the two countries. In addition, joint training camps are planned for the education and preparation of Pakistani coaches and athletes.
