On February 9, 2026, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov participated and delivered a welcoming speech at a Regional Training on Countering Biological Terrorism in Central Asia.

The event is organized by the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) with the financial and organizational support of the MFA of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, the Head of the Representative office emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to strengthening regional and international security, as well as active cooperation with the UNCCT on emergency challenges.

Special attention was paid to the initiative to establish an International Agency for Biological Safety.

In conclusion, the participants confirmed their willingness to contribute to international initiatives in the field of security and sustainable development.
