Madrid, 17 February 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain Danat Mussayev held a meeting with the newly appointed Secretary-General of UN Tourism (UNWTO), Sheikha Nasser Al Nowais.

The Ambassador congratulated Sheikha Al Nowais on her appointment and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness for active and substantive engagement with the Organization, including participation in UN Tourism’s relevant programs and events.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed priorities for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and UN Tourism, including sustainable tourism, the development of regional tourism routes, improving the quality of tourism services, and the introduction of modern digital solutions in the sector.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular working contacts and to continue joint efforts to further develop specific areas of cooperation.
