A briefing was held at the Regional Communications Service on preparation for the Unified National Testing in 2026. At the briefing, adolescent psychologist Fatima Broeva made recommendations that will help maintain the psychological health of students during the exam load.

According to the expert, the UNT is perceived as an important milestone in life for teenagers, and they often associate their future with it. Therefore, preparing for the test can be considered a transitional period when a person's behavior is also tested.

Experts say that any teenager often evaluates himself based on the words of those around him. When preparing for an exam, some may perceive the test results as their own. As a result, he becomes anxious and makes mistakes.

According to the psychologist, prolonged stress can lead to decreased attention, memory loss, sleep disturbances, and fatigue. This condition indicates an excessive load on the nerves. Adults should pay attention to this and not allow the child to become isolated.

"Stress is a nonspecific response of the body to the demands placed on it. At a moderate level, it mobilizes resources, increases concentration, and improves performance. However, chronic stress associated with prolonged preparation for exams leads to a weakening of adaptive mechanisms," he said.

As a practical suggestion, graduates were advised to pay attention to their daily routine, get enough sleep, practice breathing exercises, and take short breaks during preparation. These things help reduce stress and maintain a person's motivation to work.

The expert paid special attention to the role of the family. Regardless of the exam results, a teenager should always be supported and encouraged.
"No matter what score a child gets on the exam, they should be treated as they are. You can't have high expectations and rely too much on them. Parents should be like a friend who gives them advice, not a controller," the speaker warned.

School psychologists should also conduct stress-resilience training, teach self-control, and provide advice to graduates during exams.

In conclusion, the psychologist noted that although the UNT is an important stage in the educational process, it is not an indicator of the personal value of the graduate. Emotional support from the school and family, a calm atmosphere, a balance between preparation and rest allow adolescents to maintain psychological well-being, pass the exam period with maximum confidence, and calmly accept the test results.
